Water Damage in Elmhurst

Finding water damage can be overwhelming. A recent customer had water damage in their office in Elmhurst. As the customer was working, they noticed water throughout the building, in the conference room, the hallways, and the offices. Water damages can spread rapidly and you need to act fast. When SERVPRO of East Sacramento/West Arden-Arcade received the initial call, we dispatched a team of technicians to provide emergency services for water extraction. When the technicians arrived at the job site, a walk through was provided of all the affected rooms. Before the technician arrived, the customer shut off valves to toilets and the main water supply to the building to prevent further water damage. 

The equipment we used was the water extractor to remove water from carpet in all affected rooms. Because the carpet was still slightly damped, we set up critical containment to accelerate the drying process. We place drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers in all the affected rooms. Additionally, we removed several toe kicks and drilled holes in the interior walls to help speed up the drying process. After, we continually conducted monitoring to make sure the affected wet materials were drying well. There was significant progress and we pulled the equipment.
