Mold Infestation in Carmichael

This Carmichael family discovered mold growing behind their refrigerator and in the pantry. About 3 weeks prior the refrigerator water line broke and spilled a good amount of water. They cleaned up all of what they could see but unknown to them the walls had gotten wet, a common problem with water leaks, and once walls are wet they can begin to grow mold in as soon as 48 hours. 

The after picture was taken after SERVPRO of East Sacramento / West Arden-Arcade came in and professionally removed the contaminated materials. Our customer was thrilled with the clean up, and very happy to have that stuff out of their own.

What Not to Do:

• Don’t touch or disturb the mold.
• Don’t blow air across any surfaces with visible or suspected mold growth.
• Don’t attempt to dry the area yourself.
• Don’t spray bleach or other disinfectants on the mold.
